This tour is an exciting adventure through one of the most impressive archaeological sites in Peru. Choquequirao is an Inca citadel located in the mountains of the Cusco region, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty and spectacular views. During this tour, you will explore the impressive archaeological remains of Choquequirao, which have yet to be fully discovered and excavated. You will also have the opportunity to meet the local people, who still preserve the culture and tradition of the ancient Incas.
We will start our tour early in the morning with a departure from Cusco in the direction of Cachora. After about four hours of travel, we will arrive in Cachora, where we will have our breakfast. From there, we will continue by car to Coca Masana, where we will begin our hike to Playa Rosalina. During this hike of approximately 5 hours, we will enjoy breathtaking views of the Apurimac River canyon. Upon arrival at Playa Rosalina, we will set up camp and spend the night.
After an early breakfast, we will have the whole day to explore the archaeological complex of Choquequirao. We will have a guided tour of the archaeological site, which will take about 4 hours. After the visit, we will have free time to explore the site on our own. In the afternoon, we will return to our camp in Marampata for the night.
After an early breakfast, we will start our hike back to Chiquiska, passing through Santa Rosa and Cachora on the way. The hike will last approximately 8 hours, with breathtaking views of the Apurimac River canyon. We will arrive in Chiquiska in the afternoon, where we will set up camp and spend the night.
After an early breakfast, we will begin our final hike to Cachora, which will last approximately 4 hours. In Cachora, we will board our private transportation to head back to Cusco, arriving at approximately 6 pm.
